Regency Café

Regency Street, Westminster, London

Breakfast plates, toast and tea on a Formica table at the Regency Café, London

The Regency Café opened in 1946 and has changed remarkably little since. Its black tiled Art Deco frontage, original interior tiling and Formica-topped tables make it one of the best preserved cafés in London.

The set breakfast is an egg, two rashers of bacon, sausage, beans or tomatoes, bread or toast, and tea or coffee. Diners can also build their own plate from the counter.

Breakfast is served all day, Monday to Saturday, and ordered at the counter in the time-honoured way. The café has appeared in films including Layer Cake, Brighton Rock, Pride and Rocketman.
